We take your privacy seriously and will only use your personal information to administer your account and to provide the products and services you have requested from us.

 

What information do we collect about you?
We collect personal information only when you provide it to us, such as name, email address, address, payment details, phone numbers.

If you give us information on behalf of someone else as an alternate contact, you confirm that the other person has agreed that you can:

  • give consent on his/her behalf to the processing of his/her personal data;
  • receive on his/her behalf any data protection notices.

Unless you are applying for a position with us, we will never collect or request sensitive personal information such as information relating to your ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, whether you belong to a trade union, your physical or mental health or condition, sexual life, and whether you have committed a criminal offence.

 

How we collect information?
Information is gathered directly from you when you come to our site, become a customer, apply for a position, telephone, or email to make an enquiry. If you visit our site, some personal data may be collected from monitoring systems such as closed-circuit television (CCTV) and our guest management system.

 

Why we collect and use this information?
We need to collect and use personal information to provide our services to you and to claim our right to be paid in return for these services under our terms and conditions. In short, we use your information to fulfil our contractual obligations to you.

Our priority is to provide a high-quality service to our customers. For this reason, legitimate business interest, we may use your information to:

  • conduct research and analyse our performance
  • improve our services
  • follow up on enquiries and provide quotes

It is important to us that we provide a safe environment for our staff and visitors. To fulfil this contractual obligation, we collect and process closed-circuit television (CCTV) images.

We do not use your personal data for marketing purposes. We also do not use automated individual decision-making, including profiling.

 

Who do we share your information with?
We may disclose your personal data to:

  • any person who you have named as a representative for your account
  • any person or agency we need to share information with to comply with legal obligations
  • law enforcement and government agencies for the purposes of preventing unlawful activity

 

How we store and secure your information?
We believe in your information being secure by design and secure by default. Our servers are located on-site in a secure room with limited access, we encrypt our backups using 256-bit AES encryption. We use the same encryption to encrypt company laptops and PCs which may hold financial or personal information about our customers and staff.

Should we ever need to print your information, we use a third part document destruction service to ensure they are securely destroyed. Any expired hard drives are erased using the DoD 5220.22-M wipe method to ensure no data is recoverable.

In the unlikely event a data breach should occur we will notify all customers, staff, visitors affected and our supervisory body.

 

How long we will keep your information
Your personal data will not be kept for longer than required. Once we are aware you no longer represent one of our customers your contact details will be removed from our ERP system. Archive data will be held under legitimate interest, for example should a claim be made against the company.

 

Your Rights
GDPR affords EU Data Subjects with rights. These rights are summarised below. To assert any of these rights you may contact the Data Protection Officer designated by Progressive Technology or another employee at any time.

 

The right of Confirmation
You have the right to obtain from us confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning you is being processed.

 

The right to Access
You have the right to obtain from us information about your personal data stored at any time and to a copy of this information.

 

The right to Rectification
You have the right to obtain from us, without undue delay, the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning yourself. This includes having incomplete data completed.

 

The right to Erasure
Commonly known as the right to be forgotten. You have the right to obtain from us, without undue delay, the erasure of your personal data. Provided one of the statutory grounds apply and processing is no longer necessary.

 

The right to the Restriction of Processing
You have the right to request we restrict processing of your information where a statutory reason applies.

 

The right to Data Portability
You have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.

 

The right to Object
You have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time, to the processing of your personal data

 

Automated individual decision-making, including profiling
You have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling.

 

The right to Withdraw Consent
Where consent forms the basis for processing. You have the right to withdraw that consent at any time.

 

The right to complain to a Supervisory Authority
