In May 2022, Progressive Technology received the award of Best Newcomer 2022 to Rolls-Royce Defence at the Supplier Conference held in Bristol.
The multi-disciplinary team at our facility in Newbury were able to support Rolls-Royce with supplying components in an accelerated timescale, aiming to transform the way Rolls-Royce work, adopting agile working practices, efficiency engineering techniques and rationalisation of complex component assemblies. Progressive were primarily able to support by supplying fully machined additive manufactured components, one of many techniques employed by leading engineering companies to enhance functional capabilities previously unachievable through traditional manufacture.
This is a fantastic honour, which the business is extremely proud of, and demonstrates our ability to be able to supply high quality engineered solutions to class leading aerospace organisations. Thank you to the amazing team at Rolls-Royce for choosing to collaborate with Progressive.

Demonstrating our unique ability to offer precision machined additive manufactured components in compressed timescales is where Progressive Technology excel, and with our sights set on achieving AS9100 Quality accreditation in June, the business is looking to explore opportunities in a variety of new industry sectors leveraging the many onsite processes and capabilities available to us, with a goal of providing a full supply chain management solution.
Manufacturing a selection of Nickel alloy components in sizes up to 400mm in diameter, the additive manufacturing team were able to offer design for manufacture support, minimising some traditional constraints and conventions with component design. Producing class leading additive manufactured components with precision machining played a key role in the overall project taken on by Rolls-Royce.
