Advanced Machining operates in a state-of-the-art facility in Newbury, Berkshire and offers a great opportunity for any prospective candidate looking to further their career in the field of engineering. 

Role

We are looking for experienced hand finishing technicians that can deburr, finish and polish metallic machined and additive manufactured components using a variety of hand held powered tools and equipment. Working predominantly with titanium, aluminium and steel alloys, the successful candidate will have a focus and eye for detail in taking partially finished components to the drawing specifications.

With the ability to read and understand technical specifications, identify tooling, holding methods and devices for producing the desired finish, the successful candidate will thrive on working to tight timescales and enjoy the daily challenge associated with component finishing. 

The Individual

Flexibility, teamwork, and an enthusiastic approach to learning is a prerequisite of this role. Working with motorsport, aerospace and renewable energy customers, adaptability to the style of work is critical.

A disciplined approach to manufacture, being capable of working to the highest standards, and behaving with integrity whilst working without close supervision, the successful candidate will take responsibility for their involvement in the process.
